book your winter island getaway
Open on select winter dates
The Lilac Tree Suites opens for select dates throughout the Winter. Most shops and businesses close for the Winter months making it possible to enjoy a quiet stroll down Main Street. Escape the hustle and bustle of the “Real World” and visit our Winter Wonderland. Experience Mackinac Island like a local and enjoy our “Quiet Season”
You can get to Mackinac Island in the Winter by catching the Mackinac Island Ferry Company’s Winter Boat (The Mighty Huron) from St. Ignace. If ice conditions don’t allow for a boat, you’re able to take a short flight to the Island from the Mackinac County Airport in St. Ignace. A 45-minute horse-drawn taxi will take you and your luggage from the Mackinac Island Airport to the Downtown area. (Taxi service must be reserved in advance)
